
LaLiga’s app relaunch goes beyond results and standings
LaLiga unveiled a transformation of its key digital properties to enhance the fan experience through personalization, vertical video and an upgraded fantasy game while also gaining more data from its followers, reports SBJ’s Joe Lemire.
LaLiga gained more than 40 million social followers in the past year to push ahead of the English Premier League in digital reach, with owned-and-operated profiles on 16 platforms and in 20 languages. The app has more than 30 million downloads, with 5 million active users per season.
One notable change is mandatory app registration, which grants LaLiga some information on its fans while enabling users to personalize portions of the experience.
